About

I get it. Being the other woman is not where you expected to land, right? But here you are and it’s pretty tough. I mean it’s good too, otherwise you wouldn’t be in the relationship, but it's complicated. One of the hardest things is feeling like you can’t even talk about it. Lots of judgement. Lots of eye rolls. You sorta have to pretend you’re single, even though you feel coupled. You can’t show it when you’re upset, because how would you explain?I want this book to feel like having a supportive girlfriend (who won’t give you that face when you bring up his name), who’s also a therapist (so knows some things that could shift you out of the heavier spaces), and is available at 2:00 in the morning.I could really use your help in making it the best, most helpful resource it can be.

Author

Who am I to write this book?* I am a Licensed Professional Counselor.
* Supporting the other woman has been a focus of my work since the day I opened my practice 5 years ago.
* I hear from women from all over the U.S. who are affair partners and want help.
* I have been the other woman.
The Challenge
Unfortunately, due to rules about working across state lines, I can only offer therapy to women in Alaska and Colorado as I’m licensed in both states. I really hate to turn down requests for help!
The Solution
By pouring my training, research, and experience - informed by your voice and questions - into a book, far more women like you will have access to the nonjudgmental support they deserve.

FAQ + Contact

Who’s eligible?
I’m looking to speak with women who are single and are in a relationship with a married man, or who have been in this role in the past, when you were single and he was married.
What’s in it for me?
You’ll received a free copy of the first edition of the book! I hope you’ll also feel great about having contributed to helping women in your situation.
I don’t want people to know I’m in this relationship. Will people find out?
Your name and identifying information will be kept 100% confidential. As a counselor, keeping things confidential is at the core of my practice and is an ethical responsibility I take very seriously.
What will participation look like?
We'll have a 1-hour conversation via phone or secure video chat in which you can share your story. The audio will be recorded so that I can be fully present with you in the conversation, instead of taking notes.
Will you give me advice?
Although this is not a therapy session, I will show up for you with the same caring and authentic presence I bring to my counseling clients. My main role during our conversation will be to listen, ask questions, and understand what the experience of being the other woman is (or has been) like for you. I encourage you to find a licensed therapist in your area for ongoing support.
Sound good? If you'd like to talk with me, or if you have more questions before deciding, please drop me an email below.
